The past several days have looked more like a giant “stream of consciousness” exercise than the usual, numbered boxes on a calendar, filled with structured thoughts. It has been a constant jumble of décor and remodel inspiration, showing up in so many unusual places. …We’re talking even the grocery store at times. I’ll head down the ethnic food isle for some tortillas, and suddenly find myself lingering before a jar of colorfully labeled curry powder. “Hmm. Perhaps I’ll decorate the new place with Indonesian undertones…”
It’s gotten out of hand in that way.
But, preparation is key when you’re undertaking such a task as a budget remodel while your husband is (for the most part) out of pocket. The mantra these days is: “It won’t be that hard” or “I’m sure I can do that myself.” Right!
Anyway, as promised, I will be posting any and all progress pictures/details for the house, but for now, I’ll leave you with some of my current interior inspiration. We’ll call these next couple weeks the “Inspiration Phase,” before the rubber hits the road, and the hammer hits the nail.
I’ve taken it upon myself to create a beautiful conglomeration of it all in the new place. Fingers crossed.
Have a HAPPY WEEKEND!
